Clean Cut, Inc., started in 1983 as a small mowing service, has evolved
into an experienced staff of landscape professionals.   Clean Cut, Inc.
consistently provides superior results maintaining residential and
commercial properties. We employ a high-tech approach to landscape
maintenance, using water-absorbing polymers and organic-based
fertilizers. Clean Cut, Inc. annually has maintained the Colorado
Department of Agriculture's highest possible licensure to treat pests
and diseases of turf, trees and shrubs. Our dedicated staff combines a total of over 50 years experience working with the indigenous plants – and the pests and diseases that kill them – common in our high plains environment.

Grounds Maintenance: Our grounds maintenance season begins in February with tree, shrub and perennial fertilization and ends in the late fall with leaf removal. In between, we mow weekly, edge every other week, aerate (ideally 3 times per season), and apply organic-based fertilizer and weed control (5 times per season). In addition, we fertilize trees, shrubs and perennials in early spring and again in early fall. We inspect monthly for pests and diseases of the landscape, which we treat in accordance with the latest accepted horticulture practices.

We offer an array of services designed to maintain and develop your landscape.  Following are a list of services we provide, along with a brief description and relative timeframes for each. TOP

Weekly Mow and Trim:  Mowing and trimming for 28 weeks starting in mid-April, including bi-weekly edging of walks. We set our mower decks between 2½” to 3” for maximum turf health. TOP

Aeration:  Consists of pulling small cores of soil and turf from the lawn, resulting in better water penetration, oxygen circulation, and maximum root growth for a thick, beautiful turf.  Ideally, this should be done 3 times per season. TOP

Turf Fertilization and Weed Control:  Begins in late February to early March, depending on the weather.  This service consists of fertilization with liquid organic plant food and weed control, when appropriate.  The first service in the spring contains a pre-emergent to “jump start” your turf, while the final service in late fall includes a winterizer for optimal health the following year. TOP

Power Raking: Generally required every 2-4 years, power raking removes naturally occurring thatch from your lawn. It is important so that water and nutrients can more uniformly and quickly be absorbed, and new grass can more easily sprout.  When done properly, a bit of thatch is left behind. Best done in early spring. TOP

Spring or Fall Clean Up:  This service consists of removal of leaves and incidental organic matter from ornamental beds and turf areas.  Billed on an hourly basis. TOP

Irrigation: Clean Cut, Inc. offers complete system design, installation, service, and maintenance for all of our customers. We ensure water efficiency using drip irrigation and optimum turf coverage using Rain Bird pop-up spray heads. As a member of Rain Bird's "Select Contractor" program, we utilize all Rain Bird clock timers, parts and equipment, which reflects our commitment to quality and reputation.

• We offer the following Sprinkler System services:
• Spring Tune Up - prepares the system for the season.  We will start your system and check for leaks or problems that occurred during the winter.  We’ll begin scheduling approximately April 1st. Repairs are billed separately. 
• Winterization - We will drain the lines and blow out the remaining water to prevent problems caused by freezing over the winter.  Scheduling begins October 1st.

Irrigation Repair:  An experienced technician will diagnose and treat any problems with your sprinkler system.  Charged on an hourly basis, with a one hour minimum.  Parts are not included in labor costs. TOP

Gutter Cleaning:  Blow and wash out debris that collects in your gutters. Unfortunately, we are unable to service any buildings larger than 2 stories due to insurance regulations. TOP

Tree and Shrub Pruning: Pruning or shearing of shrubs and hedges to give a nice, neat appearance, keeping in mind the health of the plant. Natural form pruning of trees less than 15’ tall. Timing depends on the species. TOP

Snow Removal:  Please call as early in Fall as possible for this service.  We do commercial and residential snow removal.  We clear off driveways, parking lots, sidewalks and other areas upon request.  Also included is ice melt management.  We bill a set monthly amount 5 times November-March, however this covers the entire snow removal season of October-May. TOP
